Jamey Bradbury is the author of The Wild Inside, published by William Morrow, in 2018.
Her short fiction has appeared in Black Warrior Review (winner of the annual fiction contest), Spark + Echo, Sou’wester, and Zone 3. She has an MFA from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and serves on the fiction faculty at Alaska Pacific University’s low-residency MFA program.
Born in Ohio and raised in Illinois, Jamey came to Alaska as an AmeriCorps volunteer, thinking she would stay for nine months, then move on. Nearly twenty-five years later, she’s still living in Anchorage, her adopted home town. She works full time as a communications associate for an Alaska charitable foundation. She also teaches creative writing at the Hiland Mountain Correctional Center.
Jamey’s favorite non-writing activities include running, bingeing horror movies, and becoming a better swimmer. She lives with her cat, Pill, who refuses to get a job.
